We are on an adventure!

We left at 8:15 am, only 15 minutes past our goal. Impressive! Today was our longest day of driving. I forgot to take a before picture, so took individual shots while we were on the road.

Surprisingly, the traffic was pretty light all day long. We didn’t even have to slow down much in the construction zones. We did have one issue with the truck. The Navigation system has a really annoying notification beep for various things, one of which is a weight and height restriction. Our truck and camper is no where near too tall or too heavy, but the notification kept happening as we drive on I-80. Constantly. I mean like 30 seconds apart. It was hard to tune out because the sound of the podcast/music we were listening to, went down so the notification can be heard. We tried changing all the settings, I was googling to try to find out a solution, but nothing was helping. It has something to do with towing something, but we’ve never had this happen before. A very frustrated call was made to the dealership, so hopefully they call us back on Friday and provide a solution. We will be on I-80 for at least half the day tomorrow too.

We finally got to the hotel in Lincoln Nebraska about 7, ordered Papa John pizza delivered to the hotel room and settled in for the night. Happy 4th of July!!

Duluth

We spent a wonderful few hours in Duluth exploring the waterfront. They have a great museum that we spent time in that explains a lot about the ships and the shipping industry that comes and goes through the city. Time well spent as we waited for the John G Munson come into the docks. We walked along the boardwalk, climbed on rocks, ate some lunch and then headed back to the campsite to get ready for the long drive home the next day.
